To bring abandoned children from the slum to safety and into the loving arms of caretakers that will educate, love and raise them to become future leaders in their generation.

History

The Orphan Project, by Guardian Angel is a volunteer project is one of the most rewarding volunteer program that you can get involved in. Volunteering in a care placement gives you an opportunity to work with disadvantaged children who need love, affection and care.

As a Guardian Angel we volunteers to get involved in helping the children, give them education and give them the much needed personal attention.Guardian Angel is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Together, we raise children and transform their lives by creating families for life through values of unconditional love, shared responsibility and education. This enables them to grow into caring and productive members of their communities.

Guardian Angel is a also set up to provide assistance and support to orphans and children from the poor and destitute families and,

on a case to case basis for those in need and helpless.

At the age of 19, a group of young lady consist of 5 person voluntered to take the opportunity to get involved in voluntering to help all the orphan house in Johor Bahru. By being the middle person and also provide assistance and support to the orphans. The group of 5 people from Raffles University, Iskandar voluntered to take part in this action.

Financial Accountibility

Angel House operates in the highest level of FINANCIAL integrity. Each year’s operating budget is presented and approved by a board of directors. The board of directors is comprised of business owners and professionals. Each orphanage project and humanitarian initiative is approved and overseen by the entire board of directors.

The finances given to the Guardian Angel are compiled by the independent accounting firm, Nur Afiqah Nabila. This accounting firm has a designated staff CPA that organizes every Guardian Angel financial contribution and ensures that each ringgit is applied to its designated project.

FAQ

Is Guardian Angel is a "not for profit" with 501c(3) status?

Guardian Angel Orphanage Project is an extension of the 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation Rescue International. At the end of each calendar year, a detailed giving receipt is furnished to each donor for tax purposes.

How much of the MONEY raised goes to rescuing children and how much goes to overhead?

At Guardian Angel, we know that the children need and deserve as much help as we can give them. Because of this, we ensure that 100% of the MONEY raised for projects is directed toward every orphange that are on the list.

What do you do with the Fund that you raised?

The fund that we raised will all be donated to the Orphange in Johor Bahru which is not only facilitates the deprived children but also helps the needy on a case to case basis. Helping such children is not the responsibility of one individual or of an organisation, each one of us is equally responsible. There are multiple ideas for you to assist and support the orphanage like :

· Children's clothing

· Personal hygiene products

· Medical supplies (like band-aids, gauze, tape, scissors)

· Bedding (like quilts, sheets, blankets, pillows)

· Stationary items

· Provide financial support and humanitarian aid

· Academic opportunities & life training skills

· Mentoring a child

· Helping the organisation raise funds

· Working on voluntarily basis etc

Can I sponsor a child or an orphange monthly?

Yes you can. You can only sponsor an orphanage which is in the list. In order to sponsor a child, a proper document are needed and there are some of rules and regulations.

Are the children of Guardian Angel available for Malaysia adoption?

It is our desire that each and every child that we rescue to be a part of a loving family that will care for and look after them for the rest of their lives. However, because of the limitations and regulations on Malaysian adoption, Guardian Angel does not offer adoption services. If you or anyone wishes to do an adoption, we encourage you to find an agency that does offer this service, however Guardian Angel are not permitted to do this action.
